How do you deal with subscribers who chat a lot but don’t spend?
He’s probably hoping to get all your content for free just by subscribing. If his wife really checks the card, she would’ve already seen the subscription, so buying extra content shouldn’t be a problem. Sounds more like an excuse.

How do You promote on X (formerly twitter)?

Most of them will require you to have an age-verified link in your bio before approving your request to join. Once you’re in, you can look into engagement groups or simply interact with smaller, similar accounts. Be genuine, friendly, and respectful.
That said, stay cautious. While there are lots of supportive people, there are also scammers. Avoid paying for pinned tweets or promo posts – it’s rarely worth it. Never pay for “guaranteed gains,” and ignore DMs from people claiming “my management wants to work with you!” even if they have a huge following. Many of those accounts are just recruiting for shady agencies. Trust your gut, and don’t fall for it.

I completely agree, especially with the part about some people not being entirely honest. That's just how this business works - you won’t always be riding high. The key is to keep experimenting, stay consistent, and keep showing up.

When I started, I didn’t have any social media accounts and relied entirely on promo. I had to get super organized with my time. I picked one weekday night to stream, one weekend day to film, spent 90 minutes before work answering messages, and blocked off about four hours after work to interact with subscribers.
Before creating a schedule, I was staying up too late, and it was affecting my day job. What helped was posting my weekly availability on my wall so fans knew when to expect me online.
Keep at it – you’re doing great!

The flashy guys usually just spend on themselves. But the real big spenders on my page? They often drive older cars, live in modest homes, and use credit cards strategically for points. They care more about experiences than material things, and they tend to have unique tastes.
If you present yourself in a unique, high-value way, they’ll notice. I’ve had some of them randomly tip me hundreds just because they had a good day in the stock market.
See lessHow long is your average content? Short clips vs. full scenes?
For videos longer than two minutes, I usually break them up into two or three shorter clips. It makes the content easier to manage and more engaging. I also grab a few screenshots from those videos to use as preview images for the posts - that helps a lot.

Next, post more often in regular (non-explicit) groups and communities where people are attractive but NSFW isn’t the main focus. That way, you spark curiosity, and people click on your links themselves.
On Instagram, focus on building a genuine following first. Once you have some traction, create a story highlight with the details they need to find you. This approach works better because most platforms actively suppress explicit content, so subtlety goes further.

I might send a quick message before restricting just to let them know why—something simple like, “Hey, you ignored my rules and made me uncomfortable, so I’ve restricted your account.” But that’s totally optional and just how I handle it.
Bottom line: you’re 100% in the right to do what feels best for you.
