It really depends on what the message was about. Was it a personal attack, or was it related to how you’re running your page?

When I first started, I used to get really upset when someone criticized me or my content. But looking back, I realize I did make some mistakes early on, and in some cases, the frustration from subscribers was understandable — even if the way they expressed it wasn’t.

That said, no one deserves to be spoken to in a disrespectful or degrading way. If the message was a personal insult – about your appearance or just plain rude – that’s on them, not you. You can block and move on.

But if the message was business-related, it might be worth taking a moment to reflect and see if there’s any helpful feedback hidden in there (even if it was poorly delivered).

Stay confident – you’re learning, and that’s okay.
