How can I get more fans to buy my PPV messages?

Most of my income right now comes from subscriptions and custom content, but I’m struggling to make consistent sales through PPV messages. I’ve tried offering tempting deals, bundles, and attention-grabbing messages, but they’re still not selling well.

Is anyone else dealing with this? Or does anyone have tips on how to boost PPV sales in DMs and get fans more engaged with that kind of content?

  1. I’ve found that I had the most success getting fans to buy messages when I stopped trying so hard to sell and just talked to them like a real person. When I shared bits about my life and made the conversations feel natural, they started to feel more connected to me, and that’s when they began spending more.

It might feel awkward or even annoying at times, but building those personal connections really pays off. A lot of fans told me they appreciated that it actually felt like me talking to them, which made me realize not everyone takes the time to respond personally.

  2. You have to treat promoting your PPV like you’re promoting your actual page to new subscribers – it needs some hype! What’s worked well for me is creating a short, 10-second teaser using CapCut, covering the spicy parts with a sticker, and posting it to my story when I drop the PPV.

Stories are the first thing fans see when they open your page, so they’re prime real estate. I’ll usually add a little text like “Check your DMs” to make it clear that the full video is there. After that, I post the teaser on my wall too for extra visibility.

Creating a bit of FOMO helps too—like saying the video is only available in DMs for 48 hours, then unsending it after that. And honestly, just chatting and building a connection goes a long way. When fans feel like they know you, they’re way more likely to buy. Just my experience!

  3. Maybe it’s because a lot of creators use bots to reply, so fans don’t trust DMs anymore? I’ve been wondering the same thing. I subscribed to Sophie Rain and noticed pretty quickly that with how many fans she has, her DMs are automated.

I also keep seeing messages like “OF girls are online and ready to chat,” but when I check the accounts, they don’t seem active. It makes me think fans are just getting used to the idea that most DMs aren’t genuine anymore.

  4. I’m dealing with the same thing. Lately, I’ve started being more detailed in my PPV message descriptions (like clearly explaining what the video includes), and it’s helped boost sales a bit. Giving fans a better idea of what they’re getting seems to make a difference.
