I just started on OnlyFans and was really excited to get my first few subscribers — but one of them sent me a really rude and offensive message out of nowhere. It wasn’t just a weird request, it was actually hurtful. I know negativity happens online, but I didn’t expect it so soon, and it really shook me.
Is this something that happens often? Do most of you just block and move on? Or is it ever worth replying to messages like that?
It really depends on what the message was about. Was it a personal attack, or was it related to how you’re running your page?
When I first started, I used to get really upset when someone criticized me or my content. But looking back, I realize I did make some mistakes early on, and in some cases, the frustration from subscribers was understandable — even if the way they expressed it wasn’t.
That said, no one deserves to be spoken to in a disrespectful or degrading way. If the message was a personal insult – about your appearance or just plain rude – that’s on them, not you. You can block and move on.
But if the message was business-related, it might be worth taking a moment to reflect and see if there’s any helpful feedback hidden in there (even if it was poorly delivered).
Stay confident – you’re learning, and that’s okay.
Hey! I’m really sorry that happened to you. My best advice is to restrict or block them and just move on. Their negativity isn’t worth your time or energy. Unfortunately, dealing with rude or hateful messages is part of being a creator — but over time, it gets easier to brush it off and focus on protecting your peace.
If they’re not paying A LOT, they’re not worth your time – hit that block button without a second thought.
If they’re not bringing up a real issue, just block and move on. No point wasting energy on someone being rude, even if they paid.
It doesn’t happen often, but unfortunately, we all come across people like that at some point. They say hurtful things because they want a reaction, they want to know they got to you. The best way to handle it is to report them, block them, and move on.
I know that’s easier said than done, and I don’t mean to downplay how upsetting it can be. Just remember: never let them know they’ve hurt you. That’s what they’re looking for.
Take care of yourself, and know that you’re not alone and we’re here for you.
