I recently created an account on X, but I’ve never used Twitter before, so I’m honestly a bit lost on how it all works. It feels a little embarrassing to admit, but does anyone have tips for using X to promote content effectively? I’ve mostly just made posts and done some reposts, but I’m not sure what else I should be doing. Any advice would help!

Start by connecting with other creators – the community is key. Search for terms like “NSFW” and “NSFW networking” on X to find relevant communities. Most of them will require you to have an age-verified link in your bio before approving your request to join. Once you’re in, you can look into engagement groups or simply interact with smaller, similar accounts. Be genuine, friendly, and respectful.
That said, stay cautious. While there are lots of supportive people, there are also scammers. Avoid paying for pinned tweets or promo posts – it’s rarely worth it. Never pay for “guaranteed gains,” and ignore DMs from people claiming “my management wants to work with you!” even if they have a huge following. Many of those accounts are just recruiting for shady agencies. Trust your gut, and don’t fall for it.
