Has anyone here actually seen good results from promoting themselves on Reddit? I’ve been trying to grow my page by posting there, but so far it hasn’t gone the way I hoped. Most of the people engaging seem to just be looking for free content or attention, rather than serious subscribers. Is there a specific strategy or type of content that’s worked for you on Reddit?
I haven’t had much success on Reddit yet, but I think a big part of that is because I don’t have much karma—though I’m actively working on building it up. On X (formerly Twitter), I’ve had a few people subscribe to my profile, but most of them seem to be just looking for free content.
Right now, I’m still experimenting and learning how to use both platforms more effectively to actually attract paying subs. It’s definitely a process, and I’m trying to find the right balance between promotion and protecting my content.
I’m a faceless creator, and Reddit is where I get most of my subscribers. Like many others have said, I highly recommend turning off your DMs, finding subreddits that match your niche, and staying consistent with your posts—it really works.
Reddit has worked well for me as a promo tool. It can be time-consuming at first, especially with karma restrictions, which make it harder to post. But if you stay consistent and active, it can be a great way to grow your audience.
