Is there an age limit in this industry? Feeling discouraged at 45

I’m 45 years old and recently started promoting myself on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. While I’ve been putting in the work and trying to stay consistent, I’ve also been getting a lot of negative comments saying I’m “too old” to be doing this kind of work and that I should feel embarrassed.

It’s honestly starting to affect my confidence and make me question whether there’s really a place for someone my age in this industry. Is there an unspoken age limit for being successful here? Has anyone else faced similar criticism, and how did you deal with it? I’d love to hear from other creators who might be in the same boat or have pushed through similar doubts.

  1. First of all, if this is something you want to do—go for it, and try not to let other people’s opinions hold you back. I’m also 45, and proudly embracing my MILF era! I’ve found that my loyal fans on OF are incredibly supportive and appreciative. I don’t rely too heavily on promoting through social media for my own reasons, but the audience I’ve built loves me for being authentic and confident in who I am.

So truly—own it. Don’t let the negativity get in your head. Straighten your crown and keep doing what makes you feel powerful and fulfilled.

  2. Definitely not! There are creators in their 50s who are doing really well in this industry. No matter your age, there will always be critics – but that doesn’t mean you can’t succeed.

  3. Not at all! If you’re posting on Instagram, just avoid reading the comments. Some people are always going to be rude, especially when you’re a woman, a sex worker, or even just confidently owning your space.

  4. I’d say TikTok and Instagram are mostly filled with teens and younger adults who often have a really skewed idea of what “perfect” looks like in this industry. But trust me – there are tons of men out there who would completely disagree with their narrow standards.

I know it’s easier said than done, but try to focus on the opinions that matter – your subscribers who support you and think you’re stunning. Those random TikTok trolls? Most of them have probably never even been with a real woman.

And to answer your question—being a MILF is absolutely not embarrassing! Own it, babe. You’ve got something they want, and you should feel empowered by that.
