I’ve decided to delete my old content (just a few months’ worth) and start fresh with a faceless approach. From now on, all my posts and PPV will hide my face. I’m only comfortable showing my face for a significantly higher price.
The thing is, when I did show my face, that’s what seemed to attract most of my subscribers (though currently I don’t have any). So now I’m wondering—why would someone subscribe if they can’t see your face at all?
Is going faceless a smart move, or am I setting myself up to struggle even more? I’d love to hear your thoughts or any advice.
I’m doing pretty well with faceless content! I’m still fairly new (started in January), and while I’m not making a full-time income yet, it’s a nice supplement alongside my day job. I reached the top 9.2% in my first month, and although that dropped a little after the initial “new creator” excitement wore off, I’ve consistently stayed in the top 13% since February.
I think there’s a market for faceless creators. Part of the appeal is that fans enjoy imagining what you look like or projecting their fantasies. It’s possible to make good money with faceless content, as long as you promote yourself well!
It depends on how you present your content. Being faceless can work in your favor – it adds an element of mystery and lets your subscribers use their imagination. Many faceless creators use this to their advantage by highlighting other features like their voice, personality, hands, feet, boobs, bum, tummy, or tattoos. As always, finding the right niche that suits you will make a big difference in standing out and attracting the right audience.
When you’re doing faceless content, the real trick is letting your personality still shine through. People want to feel like they’re connecting with a real person, even if they can’t see your face. Either that, or make sure you’ve got a strong niche or something unique that really hooks people in.
I’m faceless too, I use a mask and wig, and for me, being recognizable just isn’t an option. I want to feel okay even if my content ever leaks.
If you have your reasons for staying faceless (which I’m sure are valid), I’m a bit surprised you’d even consider showing your face just for more money. That’s a big decision and hard to take back once it’s out there.
You can still be super appealing and mysterious while staying anonymous – showing just your lips or part of your face can make things even more intriguing.
