I’ve been creating on OnlyFans for almost a year. What started as a mix of curiosity, confidence-building, and a way to make ends meet as a single parent has grown into something that genuinely helped me support my family. I work two regular jobs, and this side hustle allowed me to afford better education and experiences for my kids, not out of greed, just necessity.
Despite my limited free time, I’ve done my best to consistently create quality content. I even launched a VIP page and stopped using strict paywalls because I wanted to build real connections, not feel like a vending machine. My fans can tip if they enjoy what I share, and they get more content in return. Income has been pretty balanced between the free and VIP pages.
I know I’m not going to get rich doing this. I don’t show my face (except to loyal fans), I’m older, I don’t have a “perfect” body, I don’t mass-produce content, and I only promote here on Reddit. Still, I had a few loyal regulars… until recently.
Suddenly, my subscribers, especially my regular ones, started dropping off. A couple of months ago, both my child and I had to undergo minor surgeries. I was honest about it and even gave out some free content to thank my subs for their patience during my recovery. I still tried to post or send older content when I could, but the recovery took longer than expected.
Now I feel like I’ve lost momentum, and I’m questioning everything. Did my absence cause the drop in subs? Or was it coming anyway? I’ve put so much of myself into this, sharing my personality, my art, my dance background, even some difficult personal experiences, and now I just feel empty and unwanted.
I’m not sure what to do. Should I take a break? Change my approach? I’ve experimented with everything from B/G content (which wasn’t easy for personal reasons) to integrating my love for gaming and painting. But nothing seems to work anymore.
Has anyone else felt this way? What helped you push through?
Any advice would mean a lot.
The key to growth is consistently bringing in new subscribers. Where are you promoting yourself? If you’re only advertising here, it’s not enough.
One of the best things you can do is shift your focus from constantly creating new content to promoting what you already have. Remember – an old video is brand new to someone who’s just discovering you. Put your energy into creating strong promotional content and getting it in front of fresh eyes.
Also, consider simplifying things by dropping one of your pages. I’d recommend focusing on your paid page so you can give it your full attention.
Have you tried marketing yourself as a MILF or ‘mature’ creator? I promise there’s an audience for every look, and plenty of people are into that niche. It might just be a matter of shifting your branding a bit to reach the right viewers.
I do market myself as a MILF, mature, and single mom. Like I mentioned, I’ve explored several niches – ones that feel authentic and natural to me, not forced.
Got it. Have you thought about trying Fansly in addition to OF? You can post the same content there, and the platform has built-in promotion, which might help you get more exposure. It could be a great way to earn some extra income.
You might want to try ManyVids as another way to earn some passive income. It takes a little extra effort upfront to create strong previews and covers, but once a video is posted, there’s not much else to do. If you already have a lot of content, you can start small and just upload a few videos each week, like I did, and gradually build your store. It’s great for reaching people who don’t use OF or are looking for specific types of content.
